    The other point about value is that it's typically tied into a specific person or company, so value is attached, attributed or stuck onto something.

    If value is strongly created (eg: SouthWest air), then it creates very sticky customers and significantly increases LCV (lifetime customer value).

    Seems like it'd be only smart to work on that aspect of the biz vs just lead gen alone...

    Very good point Andrew. If you don't have a good product or company to promote, pre selling and adding value won't do much.
